The apex executive body, responsible for the strategic direction of the Republic, setting national policy, managing state security, conducting foreign relations, and coordinating the work of all national institutions. The Council operates as a collective leadership body, ensuring that no single individual concentrates unchecked power. This is the Yoruba governance tradition: the Alaafin never ruled alone, and neither does the DRY Executive.
Supreme Judicial Guard
The Republic's independent judiciary, the guardian of the Sovereign Constitution and the protector of the rights of every citizen. The Supreme Judicial Guard merges the precision of modern constitutional law with the deep tradition of Yoruba customary jurisprudence. Its independence from the executive is absolute; its authority to strike down unconstitutional actions is supreme.
